Preamble
The site as well as the relevant rights are the entire property of Log Cabin. Any reproduction, totally or partially, is systematically submitted to the owner’s authorization. Nevertheless, hypertext links towards the site are authorized without specific request.
- Acceptance of the conditions
At the moment the client places an order, he acknowledges that he has taken notice of the particular sales conditions stated on this screen and he expressly declares that he accepts them unconditionally.
These general sales conditions rule the contractual relationship between Log Cabin and its client, the two parties accepting them without reservation. These general sales conditions will prevail over any other condition figuring in any other document, safe prior derogation, expressly and in writing.
- Availability of the articles
The articles are proposed as far as they are available in stock. Even if the database is regularly updated, some articles may temporarily be in outage or definitively sold out.
In case of definitive unavailability of one or more articles after ordering, Log Cabin will inform the client as soon as possible in order to propose to exchange the article for a similar one (telephone contact) or to reimburse the article(s).
- Order
The automatic recording systems are considered being the proof, through their nature, of the order content and date. Log Cabin confirms the order acceptance to the client by the e-mail address the latter will have given. The sale will only be concluded after order confirmation. Log Cabin reserves the right to annul any order from a client with whom a dispute may exist concerning a previous order. The information given by the client when ordering binds the latter: in case of error of the recipient data, Log Cabin shall not be held responsible for the impossibility it may find itself to supply the product.
- Delivery
After order confirmation, Log Cabin commits itself to supply all references ordered by the client, within the limit of available stocks.
Metropolitan France and transmarine territories: the delivery of the orders is carried out by French mail: regular mail or parcel post.
Export: the deliveries are made by international postal services.
For deliveries outside of France, the client commits himself, if applicable, to pay all due taxes on import of the articles, custom duties, VAT and any other tax due, regarding the laws of the country receiving the order.
The orders are sent off within approx. 48 hours after order validation and during shop working days. This period is an average deadline, given as an indication: the shipping time allowed may vary according to the destination. If deliveries are delayed, Log Cabin cannot be held responsible.
Moreover, are considered as an act of God, discharging the vendor from his obligation to deliver: war, riot, fire, strike, accidents and the impossibility to be supplied. The goods always travel at the risk of the recipient.
- Price
Prices are in euros, all taxes included.
The price indicated on the order confirmation is the final price, including VAT for France. This encloses the price of the articles, the cost of handling and packing.
- Payment
The price invoiced to the client is the price indicated on the order confirmation sent by Log Cabin.
Payments by bank card, wearing the CB logo, are secured. The on-line P@aiment CIC solution allows paying through a secured CIC server in a secured environment. The client’s bank card number is thus directed towards the bank’s servers, the payment is directly transferred to a bank in a secured environment, without going through the shop’s server, all the more a guaranty because the card number is only known by the bank partner, i.e. CIC.
The order validated by the client will only be effective when the bank payment centre concerned will have given its agreement. In case of refusal of the said centre, the order will be automatically cancelled and the client will be informed by electronic mail. Apart from that, Log Cabin reserves the right to refuse any order from a client with whom litigation may exist. - Text and photos
The photos and the text reproduced on the site that illustrate the articles do not enter in the contractual field. Log Cabin shall not be held responsible in case of error in one of these photos or in one of these texts.
- Litigations
This contract is submitted to French law. Claims will always be received with attentive benevolence, as the client who takes the trouble to expose his situation is always presumed to be sincere. In case of litigation, the client will send his claim with priority to the company, in order to find an amicably solution. Failing that, the Tribunal de Commerce of Lisieux is only competent, whichever the place of delivery may be.
- Retraction
The client has a period of seven days, starting from the receipt of the articles, to use his right of retraction and to return the goods. The product must be sent back by registered parcel post with insurance of the value of the goods. In all cases, the return shipment is at the risk of the client, by mail, in its original packing and in a perfect state, with the corresponding invoice, to:

The article(s) will then be reimbursed within a period of twenty days following its (their) reception at Log Cabin, with the exception of the shipping cost that will be at the expense of the client.
No cut article will be reimbursed, like fabric for instance.
- Legal information
The information of the collected nominative information for mail order selling is compulsory; this information is indispensable for handling and shipping orders and for issuing invoices. Lack of information causes invalidation of the order. In accordance with the law “Informatique et Libertés”, the processing of nominative information concerning the client is the object of a declaration at the Commission Nationale de l’Informatique et des Libertés (CNIL). The client has a right of access (article 34 of the law of January 6, 1978), modification, rectification and suppression of the data concerned, that he may exercise towards Log Cabin. Moreover, Log Cabin commits itself to not communicate, for free or with a compensation, its client data to a third party.
